We're switching things up with Photo Clubs, moving from Monthly to Quarterly themes, to give people plenty of time to get involved, learn new skills and make friends in the community ๐Ÿ˜Š. In Q3 we have 3 themes to inspire creativity and to try something new.

Reading about Photo Clubs for the first time? We've added a brief overview at the bottom of this article ๐Ÿ‘

Themes

Bokeh

There's plenty of scope with this theme! The term 'bokeh' comes from the Japanese word, 'boke', which means 'haze' or ' blur'. Bokeh is "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light", and it can give a dreamy, ethereal, soft quality to an image.

Liquid Macro Abstracts

This is a similar theme to the one we did a couple of months ago with milk and paint. It's easy and fun. You probably don't need to buy anything you don't have already. And it's a clean technique and no mess in your working space.

You will need:
- Water and oil
- Glass container (a glass casserole dish is just perfect for that)
- Colourful thing of your choice for laying below the container
- Extra light is a great bonus, and if you don't have lamps for photography you can do it outdoors.
