This is a photo of my grandmother’s first car, a 1933 Chevrolet Master Eagle Cabriolet. Car buffs correct me if I am wrong. My grandmother, Elizabeth Stocker Rowell, bought the car for $200 in September of 1938 when she was 21 years old. I assume that the car was a birthday present to herself because her birthday was in September. She and her friends traveled up and down the New England area collecting these fun banners and bumper stickers from the places they visited. I see Bar Harbor, Rockland, Crawford Notch, Boothbay Harbor, White Mountains, Polar Caves, Desert of Maine, and Glacial Park.
