seals on floater in the middle of ocean during daytime

My family and I went whale watching off the coast of Newport Beach. It was a cold, windy, and cloudy day so the weather wasn’t perfect. We had never gone whale watching before so we didn’t know what to expect. Towards the end of the trip we were able to pass by these sea lions resting on an ocean buoy.
