I see these all the time but had to put in a little more effort to find a yellow one. This is a spiny-backed orb-weaver (Gasteracantha cancriformis). They are often called crab spiders but are not true crab spiders (those are very different). I see them more often around this time of the year (October) and feel like they are nature's embodiment of Halloween.
