During my first trip back to the US from spending five years traveling through Asia and Southeast Asia, I had a layover in Taipei. I think it was about 1 am. I was completely disoriented. I sat down after what it seemed like walking for an hour trying to find my connection flight. No one was around. When I looked around, I immediately thought of the Starship Enterprise from the original Star Trek TV series.
