I love where I live, and I don’t see it in unique ways enough. It makes where I live more interesting when I see others enjoy it, especially when Hawaii has such a unique local culture. I shot this while at a beach hang out with some friends, but to me this shows how local culture and traditions (enjoying the beach, nature) is sometimes intersecting, and sometimes clashing with all the new infrastructure going up in the future (the buildings in the background are mostly new). I hope that the special way of life in the islands never goes away, even with buildings going up everywhere.
