An original oil painting 12”x16” on unstretched canvas. A Great Tit. He’s surveying his territory and enjoying the moment in the afternoon cool of the forest. My last painting completed in 2022. I wonder what 2023 will bring my way! I love painting these beautiful little characters. Often seen in our gardens and yet we so rarely take the time to just stand and enjoy their presence. This year I was overjoyed to see a grass hopper sunning itself on our house wall. It’s been donkeys years since I’ve seen them. And they were so plentiful when I was a child. A sign of these troubled times.
