L'abbaye royale de Fontevraud. Le village. The Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, construction between 1105 and 1165 of the abbey church. Inside the Abbey, there are the recumbent effigies of Eleanor of Aquitaine, Richard the Lionheart, Henry II and Isabelle of Angoulême. Middle Ages in France, an era of about a thousand years between 470 and 1500. Many structures and buildings can still be seen today. This period falls between Antiquity and the Renaissance.
