Many people hike Masada. There are stairs to do this though it is an arduous climb that would take, on average, 90 minutes. Because it’s in the desert and summer temperatures are very high it’s recommended to hike it before sunrise. We were with a tour group where some would not have been able to make the climb and time was not allowed for any to attempt it. Saved us all from any embarrassment about how fit we thought we might be. I took this photo from our cable car as we were passing two others. The views are amazing.
