L'ancien hôtel de ville de Boston abrita son conseil municipal de 1865 à 1969. Il fut l'un des premiers bâtiments de style Second Empire français à être construit aux États-Unis. Les architectes du bâtiment, construit entre 1862 et 1865, étaient Gridley James Fox Bryant et Arthur Gilman.
