This was one of my favorite perches I was lucky enough to photograph a Snow Owl sitting on. This driftwood had such a great look to it and thankfully I was able to position myself at just the right height to put the bird’s head in front of the distant sand dunes which really helped the light falling snow stand out. Thankfully I was ready when it yawned for a moment and I caught this different expression.
