Shane's scar, one year after having right hemicolectomy surgery to remove a portion of small intestine, cecum, appendix, all of the ascending colon and half of the transverse colon. The surgeon also removed a large mass of scar tissue the size of a summer sausage which turned out to be benign. The damage was caused from chronic inflammation from years of suffering with Crohn's Disease.
