When visiting the temples of Thailand, you’ll see many small offers. Like this one, in the Doi Suthep temple of Chiang Mai, the northern part of Thailand. Included is the baht, the local currency, with the beloved king Bhumibol on it. A couple of weeks later, after I have returned home, the king has passed away. And he will be missed by the Thai people. I’ve always respected the Thai for the way they adore their king and I feel sorry for their loss.
