Partial view of the Jacaranda tree with moon above. The beautiful lilac Jacaranda tree blooms once a year between mid October and end of November in Sydney, Australia. The story goes that many years ago Jacaranda saplings were gifted to new Mothers, encouraging them to plant them and watch them grow alongside their children. It is believed that in fact a British botanist brought a specimen to Australia from South America and planted the first Jacaranda in Sydney.
