I arrived at Rocky Mountain National Park shortly after 9pm and began my ascent up the highest continuous road in the US, Trail Ridge Rd. It was hazy, windy, and rainy but if you’ve been in Colorado for more than a few hours you know the weather can change in an instant. Sure enough, the clouds eventually cleared away by 11pm. I was able to capture the storm’s departure lit up by Estes Park.
