This image is from my body of work called “Relationships Gone Awry” (visit my Unsplash profile for the other images). It’s called “Death by Dutch,” and it’s about a couple out on a date and the man is tallying up the bill and wanting to go dutch (as illustrated through the split table, plate, etc.). And yes, everything was shot in-camera! I had my team saw all the props in half and worked with a plastics company in Los Angeles to cut the plastic glass for me. They sealed up the cut glass so I could pour “wine” into it as well so the liquid wouldn’t leak onto the carpet!
