yellow-petaled flower

This weird flower is called the white bat flower, or bat plant, because of its resemblance to the wings and whiskers of a bat. The top parts of the flower, excluding the whiskers, is about the size of a spread out hand. The plant occurs naturally in Asian forests, but this one was photographed at the Cairns botanic gardens in Australia.
