You can now filter images by license

In our recent census, the number one requested feature from Unsplash+ subscribers was the ability to filter search results to only see Unsplash+ content. Today is that day — you can now filter your search by ‘License’. When you make any search on Unsplash, you can select “All”, "Unsplash+" or "Free" to filter results based on the content you are looking for.

We're excited to announce a new feature that will make it easier for you to find images that meet your specific licensing needs. This new feature, which is available to all Unsplash users, allows you to differentiate between images that are available under the Unsplash+ License and those that are part of Unsplash's open library.

Here are the other ways you can filter content on Unsplash

Orientation

Located directly beside the new License filter, you can also filter your search results by orientation. There are three options to choose from: ‘Landscape’, ‘Portrait’ or ‘Any orientation’ — which will display all images regardless of their orientation.

Relevancy

You can also filter Unsplash search results by relevancy. There are two different options for sorting search results by relevance: ‘Relevance’ and ‘Newest’.

Sorting by ‘Relevance’, will display search results based on how closely they match the search query. Images that are more closely related to the search terms will appear at the top of the results. This is the default.

If you sort by ‘Newest’, it will display search results based on when the images were added to Unsplash. The most recently added images will appear at the top of the results.
