Digital Nomad

Exploring the Digital Nomadic life with Microsoft Surface.

Over the past two years, so many people around the world got a taste of remote work and fell in love with the freedom that comes with it. As the world opens back up, we see many businesses continuing to operate this way, allowing employees to work from wherever they’d like.

Unsplash has always encouraged the freedom to work from when and where you want to. I recently returned from spending 5 weeks working in sunny Los Angeles to have a change of scenery and escape the Canadian winter.

To celebrate this type of nomadic lifestyle, we are once again partnering with our friends at Microsoft Surface, who continuously create devices that make working from anywhere easier. Introducing our new Topic: Digital Nomad.

Digital Nomad Topic

First things first: what is a Digital Nomad? Being a digital nomad means having the ability to work from anywhere in the world. Digital nomads work remotely, using technology to perform their job, rather than being physically present in an office.

For the month of May, submit images capturing the nomadic lifestyle, showing the use of technology to work from anywhere. Need inspo? Capture working on a laptop in a coffee shop, hotel lobby or co-working space or conducting business from your phone while lounging pool-side. As with the lifestyle — the locations are truly endless!

How do Topics work?

Topics work as a way to curate various images on our platform through a similar theme. From topics like the aforementioned Digital Nomad Topic to Current Events — curated topics have an increased chance of being featured, promoted, or seen on the site.
